Waarschuwing ivm Waternavel (Hydrocotyle Ranunculoides)

Per 1 januari 2001 heeft het Ministerie van Landbouw, Natuurbeheer en Visserij een verkoop- en bezitsverbod afgekondigd voor de Grote Waternavel (Hydrocotyle Ranunculoides).

Informatie

De Grote Waternavel veroorzaakt sinds 1994 problemen in de Nederlandse (vrije) wateren. In de meeste provincies bedekt deze snelgroeiende (woeker) plant grote wateroppervlakten en verstikt daar zo alle andere vegetatie.

Behalve een verkoop- en een bezitsverbod bij de detailhandel, moeten ook vijverliefhebbers de plant verwijderen en vernietigen.
